How It Works

More Information on How to Participate will be available in January 2025

Fundraise for your cause

The scheme provides charities, community groups, environmental organisations, sports groups and educational organisations with new and easy ways to raise funds.
1
Receiving donations from the community – Tasmanians can choose to pocket their refund or donate to a participating donation partner
We encourage listed groups and organisations to register with Recycle Rewards to promote and share you’re open for donations from the Tasmanian public.
2
Initiate a collection drive – receive containers from the community
If you have the space, you can choose to become a donation point. Let your supporters and volunteers drop their 10c containers off at your location, so you can return them and collect the refund for your group.
3
Run a Refund Point as a business
To express your interest in running a refund point, contact Tomra Cleanaway Tasmania (the appointed Network Operator)

A Donation Partner is a not-for-profit organisation that has been approved as eligible to receive donations from the Tasmanian community.

Types of organisations that are listed as donation partners include charities, schools, sporting clubs, community and special interest clubs and groups.

The Donation Partner registration system will open in early 2025.  We will provide more information in early 2025.

In order to become a Donation Partner, you will need to apply to be registered as a Donation Partner through the Recycle Rewards website.  If your organisation is eligible to become a Donation Partner (under the relevant regulations), you will be provided with a Donation Partner ID and be able to set up a payments account in order to start receiving payments.
